Lots of "app-smashing" with Stage 3 over the past few weeks. MS Word was used to create the puppets, then a combination of the iStopMotion, Kaleido and DoInk Green Screen apps brought them to life.
Early Stage 1 using left, right, forwards and backwards to create algorithms for the BeeBots and Code-A-Pillars...
Stage 1 followed directions carefully to create kicking boots and sail boats. They programmed them to move forwards, backwards, make sounds and repeat actions using the drag and drop blocks in the WeDo software.
Stage 2 have been putting their maths skills to good use when trying to solve some challenges with the Dash robot using Blockly programming software.
For this challenge they needed to measure lengths and angles and create an algorithm for Dash to complete the circuit.
Stage 3 programmed the NXT robots to perform various tasks last term. At the end of the term they prepared a programme which directed the robot to follow a dark line to reach the Easter egg reward at the end.
This term Stage 3 are using the Sphero robots. Their first activity was learning how to control the Sphero using the Drive application. The game of Bullrush was a great hit.
Lots of fun creating personalised avatars with Stage 2 using the Bobbleshop and WordFoto apps
2 teams from 4/5W managed to programme Blink and Bump to play "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" during their technology lesson last week
Stage 2 have been investigating the DoInk app this week during their Technology classes.
